Quran for Sleep
Calm recitation to end the day with — and it keeps playing when your screen goes dark.
Falling asleep to Quran recitation is a habit shared by millions: the day ends with remembrance, and the last thing the heart hears is the words of Allah. The Quran itself calls the night a covering and sleep a rest (An-Naba 78:9-10).
8D Quran was built with night listening in mind. The featured 8D voice (Yasser Ad-Dossari) is pre-rendered, so the recitation keeps playing when your phone locks — put on the surah, set your phone down, and let it carry you to sleep. With earbuds in, the 8D effect moves the voice softly around you, like being surrounded by the recitation in a quiet room.
Surahs commonly recited before sleep
- Surah Al-Mulk (The Sovereignty)
Al-Mulk is the surah most closely associated with the night — reciting it before sleep is a widespread nightly practice, and its 30 contemplative verses take only a few minutes.
- Surah As-Sajda (The Prostration)
As-Sajdah is likewise traditionally paired with Al-Mulk in nightly recitation.
- Surah Yaseen (Yaseen)
Ya-Seen's steady, measured verses make it a favorite for unwinding — long enough to drift off to, gentle enough not to startle.
- Surah Ar-Rahmaan (The Beneficent)
Ar-Rahman's repeating refrain gives it an almost lullaby-like cadence in the hands of a good reciter.
- Surah An-Naba (The Announcement)
An-Naba speaks directly of the night: “We made your sleep a means of rest, and made the night a covering.”
- Surah Al-Ikhlaas (Sincerity)
Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas — the three short surahs of protection — are recited before sleeping, following the Prophet's own practice.
A gentle bedtime routine
- Choose the featured 8D voice so playback survives the screen locking.
- Start with Surah Al-Mulk, then let Ya-Seen or Ar-Rahman follow.
- Keep the volume low — just above a whisper.
- Tomorrow, the site remembers exactly where you stopped, so you can pick up where sleep took over.
